One shared strategy. Local winners in every country.

Manage one country or organise markets into reusable Country Groups. Share merchandising rules across regions, hemispheres, languages and your own groups. Add dynamic seasonal strategies that follow the calendar without losing each country's local product ranking.

Start with a country. Scale to a group.

Set a specific strategy for an individual country, or create a group from a regional preset, continent, hemisphere, language or the countries in a Shopify Market. Edit the included countries before activation, or build a custom group for priority markets and expansion plans. Language groups target countries, not an individual shopper's language.

France and Germany can share New In → Best Sellers → Sold Out while each country's Best Sellers use its own performance data. A group shares the rules, not a blended bestseller ranking. Rename, duplicate or edit groups as your business changes. Removing a country from a group does not deactivate it.

Let the season move. Keep the strategy ready.

Seasonal groups are dynamic: active countries move between Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter according to their seasonal profile. Under the southern calendar, Australia belongs to Summer in January and Winter in July; Spain follows the opposite northern calendar. Regional groups stay in place, so a country can belong to EMEA and Summer at the same time.

Choose northern or southern calendars, Warm all year, Cold all year, a custom month-by-month calendar, or Excluded. Preview a future date before a campaign without changing today's targeting. Membership updates daily in the store timezone; these are merchandising calendars, not live weather forecasts. Enabling a season makes it available for rules—it does not assign a strategy or activate new countries by itself.

Know which strategy actually applies.

Use groups in Sorting Rules and Collection Rules. Collection-specific strategies take priority over general rules; at the same level, explicit country strategies can override groups. Set priorities when groups overlap and inspect the effective strategy for each country. When it leaves a seasonal group, the next applicable strategy or default takes over.

Country slots count unique active countries, even when they belong to several groups. Group reporting combines sales and sessions; conversion is calculated from total orders divided by total sessions. Overlapping groups are not additive shop totals. Every country keeps its own product ranking and the same main storefront collection URL.
